It seems like the up and coming makeup-only Starbox subscription is getting more and more popular as the months go by. And rightly so, it’s a pretty sweet service. If you’re unfamiliar with the Starbox, for $15 per month you are guaranteed at least 3-4 full size items per month, which could be anything from a lipstick to an eyeliner.
The October box contained some great items:
- Lipstick in “Masquerade”
- Eye Pencil in Gold Dust
- Eyeshadow Pigment in Peddle
- Eye Rock Eye Tattoo Stickers
- Collectable Quartz
Umm, pretty sure the purple pigment is going to be my new cosmetic soul mate. It’s packed with shimmery awesomeness and blends like a dream.
I was also surprised by how smoothly the Eye Pencil applies over the lid. It doesn’t tug and just glides right along. Popping that liner onto your bottom waterline will make some killer holiday looks.
The lipstick is my favorite product this month. It’s a burnt red/orange color with a little golden shimmer. Very pretty color for fall.
Starlooks included a little bonus product this month which was a package of Eye Tattoos. They’re obviously not meant to be worn on date night or anything lol, but they are definitely a cool addition to a costume or masquerade party you might be attending.
Did you see the December promo card? They are putting a $99 15-shade eye shadow palette in the December Starbox for the same monthly price of $15. Definitely jump on that deal asap if you’re interested because there is a good chance they will sell out.
This is my second month receiving a Starbox and I’m still convinced it’s worth the $15 per month, especially if you’re a makeup junkie. I was lucky enough to get this box in exchange for a review, but I will probably become a paid subscriber considering makeup and sub boxes are my kryptonite.
If you’re interested in getting the Starbox, you can signup at Starlooks.com. On the checkout page where it asks “How did you hear about Starlooks?” it would be great if you selected “Blog” and typed in“girlyenthusiast.com”. I don’t get referral points or free stuff or anything like that, it just helps out the people at Starlooks :)
Disclosure: I received products mentioned in exchange for review. All opinions expressed are 100% honest.
