I can’t believe it’s already been an entire YEAR since I became a Birchbox subscriber. Today I received a pretty pink leather key chain in the mail from Birchbox as a ‘thank you’ for my membership, along with a 25% off discount code (bblove25). Birchbox was gateway drug into the world of beauty subscriptions. Some good, some bad, some really abhorrent. As most of you know, I only subscribe to the QVC version of the Test Tube because I feel like they have a better variety of items and it’s even a little cheaper. It’s a new year, which means a whole new year of BEAUTY TUBES :) I loveee me some Beauty Tubes. I’m subscribed to the QVC version of the New Beauty Test Tube, which in my opinion, is a better value than the regular Test Tubes. There is usually more makeup and better brands in the QVC version. Each tube costs $29.96 plus $6.97 shipping (plus tax depending on your state).

I sadly received my last Test Tube of the year today (and it arrived very early for some reason). I get the QVC version which usually contains different products than the version shipped directly from New Beauty. And it’s a little bit cheaper for me too since I subscribed when it was a “Today’s Special Value”. But alas, I was very disappointed with my final Test Tube of the year. It was just.. blah. Out of all four shipments I received, this is the only one I was completely unhappy with. It’s almost as if QVC just gathered the left-over products they had hanging around and threw them in a tube.

Well, after a multitude of shipping delay, I was starting to wonder if I was EVER going to get this thing. But alas, it finalllllly arrived today! This is my 3rd Test Tube from New Beauty this year. If you don’t know what the Beauty Tube is, think ‘Birchbox on steroids’. There are two versions of the Tube that you can purchase: the QVC version, or the direct-from-New-Beauty version. I, of course, opted for the QVC version because it was a little bit cheaper. And after comparing the two, I think the QVC version gets better stuff :)

Umm, wow I totally just realized I never posted photos of my second Test Tube from New Beauty.. oopsies. I received it in April and took pictures and everything.. but never posted them LOL. Blonde moment!

This beauty tube had several awesome items, my favorite being a full size Dalton lip gloss pot. A sample size tube of Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara was also included, which made me happy because I had been dying to try some Tarte mascara (for the record.. wasn’t too impressed with it).

I’ve been waiting so very patiently for my super packed Beauty Tube from QVC to arrive. And the day has FINALLY COME! Weee! I definitely think it was worth the $26 and change. It came with a full size Mally Mascara and Kiehl’s Eye Cream for cryin’ out loud. The best part is.. New Beauty ships these out every 3 months! Enjoy the photos :)
