Today I received a pretty pink leather key chain in the mail from Birchbox as a ‘thank you’ for my membership, along with a 25% off discount code (bblove25). Birchbox was gateway drug into the world of beauty subscriptions. Some good, some bad, some really abhorrent. I’ve been a tiddle bit addicted to that website lately. If you’re unfamiliar with Little Black Bag, please take a look at my review of the service here.  To give you a brief synopsis: You are given 3 to 4 items and you have 7 days to trade them with other members of the site, and when you’re happy with your bag, you can ship it. There is no limit to the number of items or value you can potentially accrue in your bag.

It’s unlike any other girly subscription service I’ve tried (Jewelmint/Birchbox/MyGlam) etc. It’s a completely different concept, and once you get the hang of things, it becomes a severely addicting service.
