GoGoGirlfriend Box! November 2011

21 Nov

UPDATE (2/9/12): I cancelled my GoGoGirlfriend subscription on 1/31/12. I can no longer recommend subscribing to this company. I will leave my GGG posts up as a reference, but sign up at your own risk. See my GoGoGirlfriend post for more details.

I received my second sampler box from GoGoGirlfriend last week. This service is still pretty new for me, but I must admit, my first box was a lot better than my second. I’m still satisfied with the items I received, I got a LOT more stuff in last month’s box. GoGoGirlfriend is still a relatively new subscribtion service, so I want to get a few shipments before I decide if it’s worth my $12.99 per month or not. So far, I’d say it is.

Here is what I received:

  • Blossoms Natural Mineral Eyeshadow
  • Camille Beckman Hand Therapy Mango Beach
  • E.L.F. Eyelash Curler
  • E.L.F. Nail Polish Fall Favorites
  • Modella Cosmetic Bag
  • MyChelle Deep Repair Cream
  • Oluv Body All Natural Body Lotion
  • Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Protest
  • Homemade soap (it smells sooooo good)

Disclamer: GoGoGirlfriend box was purchased with my own money.

Looks like you got the same things I got in my first box. I was not happy with my second box at all. (I’ll be doing a youtube video on it soon.) I cancelled my subscription because I was not happy at all. Hopefully you continue to get good boxes from them.

I saw a couple of the previous boxes and almost signed up for GoGoGirlfriend, but this month’s box just doesn’t look interesting at all. Thanks for the post!

That’s what I got last month…wait till you get this month’s box. IT SUCKS. I also cancelled my subscription. I only really liked the first box (which makes sense) and it all went downhill from there…

Grr, everyone has told me this was their LAST month’s box. I wonder why I’m on a lag. I’m also kind of sad that I’ll likely be getting a crappy box next month LOL.

Haha well at least you’ve been warned :-p I wish I knew. My box would ship on time, then every month it’d be one week later. I’m supposed to receive my box at the beginning of the month and just got it 5 minutes ago… on the 21st of the month.

To be fair: their customer service is speedy, when compared to most companies. But I’ll be sticking with Birchbox :) Especially after the surprise Baublebar bracelet, haha. We got the same box btw.

Hmm.. weird. I bought my first box mid-October, but I think they sent me September’s box. Which led to me receiving October’s box in November. Yeah idk.. why can’t every monthly sample service be as simple as Birchbox? lol Send them all out at the same time!

I lucked out with my first BirchBox, I got a full size $32 Laura Geller blush :D I really can’t ever unsubscribe because I’m convinced if I do, they’ll send out another $30 item lol.

Oh yeah! That was a good month :-) I’ve loved almost every product they’ve sent -yes, even the hair ties!- and I love love love their promos and reward points. I actually placed an order last night because they sent me a 20% off code for my 9 month anniversary with them + I had $20 worth of points so I was like “omg gotta get stuff!” I LOVE THEM.

I also like that their brands are actually well-known, unlike GGG’s Blossom eyeshadow (which I don’t particularly enjoyed getting as I don’t wear eyeshadow)

I want BB to restock their Birchbox Man box! That’s such a perfect gift.

I’ve also tried New Beauty Test Tube, but nothing really compares to Birchbox. For me at least 0:)

I wish Glymm box wasn’t only for Canada because they also look like they give out decent samples, haha.
