Cravebox! March 2012

31 Mar

This is officially my FAVORITE Cravebox to date! I am one of their “original gangstas” since I’ve been subscribed to Cravebox throughout their entire beta period. And so far, I have been happy with every single box that I’ve received. If you’re a monthly box subscription addict like me then you know how rare it is to find a service that keeps you consistently satisfied.  I can honestly say that Cravebox has done that for me. I think a big part of it is the variety of products that they send. It’s not just beauty, or just organics, or just nail polish. It’s an eclectic combination of awesome stuff that I’d never think to try had I not received it in my Cravebox!

The March “Joie De Vivre” Cravebox was all about beatifying yourself and painting the town with your girlfriends.  This is my fourth shipment, and if you ask me, the best one yet! This one contained more beauty stuff than any of the previous boxes. Here is what was included:

Mereadesso Lip Treats ($28): Full size product! Woohoo. This little reusable pouch contained two sticks of the Mereadesso Lip Treats. You can use this product as a lip balm or as a primer for lipstick or gloss. It’s tasteless, applies clear, and is loaded with vitamins and lip nourishing oils.

Mercy Drink ($2.88): As soon as I realized what this product was, it made me LOL. It’s a drink to reduce/eliminate hangovers! Haha! I love it. I’m not gonna lie, I do my fair share of social drinking. This product was a perfect inclusion for a girl like  me. Mercy is a lightly carbonated, non-alcoholic beverage that you’re supposed to drink in between cocktails to prevent the ever-dreaded hangover grogginess. Or you can use it as a mixer (which I will probably do). It also came with a white rubber bracelet that says HAVE MERCY :) nice touch.

NYX Cosmetics Boudoir Mascara ($6): Full size product again! This is the product I was the most excited about trying. There are 7 mascaras in the NYX Boudoir line and all 7 of them were sent in the Craveboxes. I received the Le Frou Frou which has  a dense dome brush. The NYX website says all 7 of the mascaras have different formulas and distinctive wands, while curling/lengthening/volumizing. I LOVE THE BLACK LACE NYX BAG THIS CAME IN! I’m so used to those ugly rough mesh pale pink drawstring bags that so many samples come in. The NYX bag is soft lace and REALLY cute.

Puristics Intensive Eye Treatment ($22):  Another full size product! This is a brand new eye cream that boasts about not using any chemicals, parabens, phthalates or fragrances. I’m obsessive about my eye creams so I’m sure this baby will get put to good use!

Mighty Leaf Teas (??): I love trying new tea and I’ve actually never brewed any tea like this before. They are whole leaf teas and the bags are silky and larger than your everyday tea bag. They sent three organic flavors: Organic Mint Melange, Organic Breakfast and Green Tea Tropical. They all sound incredibly yummy!

This box is valued at roughly $58. The monthly cost for a Cravebox subscription is $10. The value of all the Craveboxes I’ve gotten so far has at least tripled the actual cost of the box. I don’t plan on giving up my subscription anytime soon :)

Cravebox still isn’t accepting any new subscribers at the moment, but you can go to www.Cravebox.com and opt in to be notified when they open up again.

Cravebox really stepped up their game with this box! I think the Mercy drink is hilarious/awesome.

Looks like you got some great things in your box. I would love to see a mini review of the mascara
