Birchbox! February 2012

13 Feb

Woohoo! February was a great month to be a Birchbox subscriber. By the way, holy crap, I actually got my Birchbox before the end of the month!!! This is the quickest I’ve ever received it, and it’s all thanks to Birchbox dropping Streamlite and switching to UPS. Stellar move :)

I was VERY pleased with Birchbox this month. Here is what I received:

  • Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint
  • Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant®
  • Eye Rock Designer Liner
  • beautyblender®

Why was I so happy with my box this month? Well, you see that little squishy pink ball? That, my friends, is a Beauty Blender and it just happens to be a plethra of awesomeness. I’m already an avid Beauty Blender user, but I am due for a new one. Since they sell for about $20 a pop, I was all grins :)

The Eye Rock eyeliner stickers look interesting. I have never tried any “stick on” makeup before so these should be fun to play around with. The little heart shaped nail file is cute and purse friendly. The Dermalogica sample is a really nice size and I’ll probably get several uses out of it. I’m excited to try the Jouer Tinted Moisturizer but I wish the sample size was a bit bigger… it’s TEENSY WEENSY lol.

Overall I’m very pleased with my box this month. It’s value has far surpassed the $10 I paid for my Birchbox.

If you’re not a subscriber yet, I highly recommend giving it a try :) Just mosey over to birchbox.com.

I got my box yesterday! It’s my first so I have been stalking the mailman. My stuff was a little different, I got a perfume sample (Viva L Juicy), the same stick on eyeliner, Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum, Creme Hydratanta Regulatrice which appears to be an awesome moisturizer, and a little Choco Pod chocolate.

    Anyways…yay for Birchbox!

Woohoo congrats on getting your first Birchbox :) did you like the chocolate? I’m obsessed with that stuff. My favorite is the kind with the panko crumbs.

we got the same box :) i also was super happy this month.
I wasn’t familiar with the beautyblender and thought it was silly until I watched an info video explaining how to correctly apply. Now Im a believer.

Birchbox sucks! My February looked nothing like yours. Mine is awful! Shame on Birchbox charging people for such crap! I signed up for a year and wish I had not! I have been very disappointed and this month takes the cake for being a a piece of crap! I could get better samples in a department store for free!! Don’t sign up for Birchbox….there are better programs out there!

Aww I’m sorry you’ve had bad luck with Birchbox :( have you tried contacting customer service to get a refund for your remaining annual subscription since you’re unhappy with the service? They have always been super nice and helpful with me. Birchbox is actually my favorite subscription service (and I subscribe to SEVERAL) lol.

Amen sister! How did she get a Beauty Blender && Dermalogica sample? EVERYTHING in my box was the size of the Jouer Tinted Moisturizer (except the eyeliners)!! Very sad and disappointing!

I’m so jealous that you got the beauty blender!! I didn’t get the samples that I was most interested in this month, but I got an interesting mix of samples anyways. A few of them were really small like the Joeur, but oh well. I was really happy with the WEI Pomegranate Buffing Beads!

I did my review and unboxing here:

Ohhhh I would have loved to try the buffing beads. I really enjoyed my other WEI sample from a previous birchbox.

This was my first moth with Birchbox and was disappointed with my box as well. I did receive the stick on eyeliner and jouer moisturizer…but the perfume was awful and then I received on the go tooth whitening and a face cream (which were ok but not impressive). I am hoping to receive better ones for March as I have seen nothing but great reviews. I am also wondering what I need to change on my profile….any suggestions? Thanks

My friend got the same box you did and she HATED the perfume too. And she said she also got toothpaste or mouthwash or something like that? I was like HUH? I don’t know how they select who gets what box, but I have makeup selected in my beauty profile as the top sample I want to receive.

Lucky you – I would have loved that box – I got a bunch of crud that makes we wonder if they even read my profile. Junk for age spots and powdered mouthwash – uhm eeuuu

I seriously can’t believe they sent out powdered mouthwash :/ every box should have contained a beauty blender in my opinion.

Yea, it was a powdered mouthwash/whitening mix. And I agree…everyone should have received that beauty blender. I know that I was really hoping to get that. I will see if I can change the beauty as the top one to see what I get for the next ones. I did confirm today that I wanted the teen vogue birchbox for March. Sounds great to have a younger platform. Thanks!

I received the whitening mouthwash and I loved it. I even ordered other SuperSmile products from amazon because of it.
