Laura Geller All-Stars Collection

7 Jan

Guess who picked up another makeup collection on QVC? Yeah.. this girl. It’s becoming a problem honestly lol. But to be fair, I did need to get a Balance N’ Brighten foundation in Fair, because the only shade I currently have is Porcelain and it’s waaaay to white for me nowadays. I guess I’m not the same pasty chick that I used to be ;) Plus, it’s just plain hard to turn down a Laura Geller collection under $50.

Here’s what is included in the All-Stars Collection:

  • Spackle Under Makeup Primer in Champagne
  • Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation (fair)
  • Blush-n-Brighten in Pink Grapefruit
  • Waterproof Eye Spackle
  • Baked Marble Eyeshadow Duo in Amethyst/Starburst
  • Makeup bag

I did my makeup this morning using everything in this collection, and each piece is fabulous!

The Balance N’ Brighten blush is like no other color of blush that I own (and I own an ISH TON of blush). It’s an apricot pink color with beige undertones. What I love most is the finish. It’s has a  shimmery, almost glistening finish that reflects the light beautifully and gives an instant highlight. I swatched it on top of the Champagne Spackle Primer.

And here is the infamous Balance N’ Brighten Foundation in Fair. This stuff rocks, I’ve been using it for awhile now.

Laura Geller does a fabulous primer. This has more slip than your typical primer. You actually have to let it soak into your skin and dry for a couple minutes. Just like with any primer, it will keep the color of your makeup true and make your foundation last throughout the day. This is the Champagne version of Spackle, which has glowy finish to it.

The Waterproof Eye Spackle is a brand new product from the Laura Geller line. It’s a thick, opaque flesh colored primer. Once applied to the lid, it will make any eyeshadow that you put on top of it, completely waterproof. It’s in a pen dispenser with a clicker base and a brush applicator tip. Apply a bit under your bottom lash line to waterproof your liner. Just be sure to blend this in quickly because it dries pretty fast. It’s got a yellow undertone so it’s perfect for anyone with redness around the eyes.

This is one of my favorite Laura Geller Baked marble Eyeshadow combinations. One half is Amethyst, a shimmery lavender color with a pink swirl, and one half is Starburst which is a shimmery nude golden brown with a pink swirl.

And last but not least… the super cute zipper bag! The print is actually a bunch of quotes from reviews written by Laura Geller customers.

I picked this up last week when it was a Today’s Special Value for $49.98. It’s currently still for sale on the QVC website, but for $54.96. Considering the Balance n’ Brighten and Spackle would be over $50 by themselves, I think it’s still a pretty good value.

Disclaimer: I purchased this collection with my own money. All of my reviews are 100% honest :)
