This tray is one of the most versatile products I’ve discovered this year. Living in a 110° climate in the summer makes it very difficult for me to wear liquid foundation. To put it bluntly, my skin sucks ass. I need serious coverage and I need it to last throughout my 9-hour work day. I typically use mineral foundation all summer long because it can withstand perspiration and still give me the coverage that I need.

Guess who picked up another makeup collection on QVC? Yeah.. this girl. It’s becoming a problem honestly lol. But to be fair, I did need to get a Balance N’ Brighten foundation in Fair, because the only shade I currently have is Porcelain and it’s waaaay to white for me nowadays. I guess I’m not the same pasty chick that I used to be ;) Plus, it’s just plain hard to turn down a Laura Geller collection under $50.

This was my first time trying out anything from the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics line. I have been dabbling back into the mineral makeup scene quite a bit lately, so I was excited to try an established mineral brand that was new to me. I’ve seen Youngblood products around youtube and a few of my friends rave about their foundations. Pretty sure I’ve also seen them mentioned in a few of my Allure mags.

When I got this package in the mail yesterday, I was SO SO SO excited! Probably the most excited I’ve ever been about getting  makeup.. and I get a lot of makeup. Behold, my friends, the first ever It Cosmetics Today’s Special Value kit! It’s called the Complexion Perfection Anti-Aging 4-Piece Collection and it premiers as the Today’s Special Value (or TSV for short) on QVC Friday, January 13th! Price: $49.98. I can’t even tell  you how long I’ve been waiting for It Cosmetics to do a TSV collection. And if I could have picked all the products myself.. I would have put this exact same collection together!

If any of you are familiar with the soap opera Young and The Restless (which if you aren’t, where have you been hiding? It’s been on TV for like 100 years! lol) then you know about the faux cosmetics brand, Jabot, which exists in the show. Well girls, faux has now become reality! Jabot beauty products are now sitting on real-life shelves for your purchasing pleasure. The Jabot line (pronounced “merlot”) currently has an assortment of foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer and gloss.

I’m pretty sure I’ve made it painfully obvious that I really enjoy my BB Creams. The coverage, the convenience and the cost are the three C’s that keep me coming back. HOWEVER, I’m sad to say that most BB Creams aren’t made with the best ingredients. I found Origins VitaZing during my search for a product that I could use as a base under my foundation, provide some coverage, and contain decent ingredients.
